  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups light brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the butterscotch chips and spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are firm and the center is set. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

For added flavor, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
