Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour sifted
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder sifted
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts optional
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  • Combine the flour, cocoa, and salt; gradually stir into the egg mixture until blended. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the center is set. Remove, and cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into bars.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality cocoa powder and chocolate chips. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
