Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Bring to a simmer.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water to create a slurry. Stir into the blueberry mixture.
Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Allow to cool slightly before serving over your favorite dessert.
Notes
For a smoother sauce, blend the cooked blueberries until smooth and strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
