  • 1.5 lbs ground beef 85% lean
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs plain or seasoned
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 24 oz marinara sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for browning

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix well.
  • Shape mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides, then transfer to crockpot.
  • Pour marinara sauce over meatballs in the crockpot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
