Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb beef sirloin sliced into thin strips
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 12 oz egg noodles cooked and drained
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoon parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add beef strips and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • Add mushrooms and cook until they release moisture and become tender.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture, stir well, and cook for one minute.
  • Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Stir in sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Return beef to the skillet and mix well with the sauce.
  • Combine cooked egg noodles with the beef and sauce mixture. Transfer to a casserole dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, consider using a mix of different types of mushrooms.
