Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
Rub the brisket with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket on both sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Place the brisket in a roasting pan. Add beef broth and cover with foil.
Roast in the oven for 5-6 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shredded.
Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before shredding.
Toss the shredded brisket with barbecue sauce.
Assemble sandwiches with brisket, pickles, and coleslaw on sandwich rolls.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a dash of hot sauce to the barbecue sauce.
