Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until combined.
Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan before slicing and serving.

For a nutty twist, consider adding a half cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
