  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas about 2-3 bananas
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until combined.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a nutty twist, consider adding a half cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
