Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Stir in the applesauce.
Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
