  • 0.5 cups brown sugar packed

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cups powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  • In another bowl, combine sliced apples with cinnamon and brown sugar. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
  • Spoon the apple mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, cold butter cubes, and powdered sugar using your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the apples.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, serve with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
