Tennessee Onions

Ingredients

  • 23 large sweet onions (about 600g), sliced into 1/4-inch thick rings
  • 1/4 cup (60g) butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice onions into 1/4-inch thick rings.
  • In a greased baking dish, layer the onion rings evenly.
  • Dot onions with butter pieces.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  • Pour heavy cream over the onions.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, until onions are tender and cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
