- 2–3 large sweet onions (about 600g), sliced into 1/4-inch thick rings
- 1/4 cup (60g) butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: garlic powder to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice onions into 1/4-inch thick rings.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the onion rings evenly.
- Dot onions with butter pieces.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
- Pour heavy cream over the onions.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until onions are tender and cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
