Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) carrots, peeled and cut into uniform pieces
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup (55g) brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions

  • Peel and cut carrots into uniform pieces.
  • In a large skillet, bring water to a boil. Add carrots and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
  • Add cooked carrots to the skillet and toss to coat with the glaze. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly glazed and heated through.
  • Add a pinch of salt and, if desired, a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy!
